The surprise hit of Christmas 2016 is the new album of blues cover tunes by those old fellers Your Rolling Bones (ok, Stones). The elderly lads hit the studio in December 2015 to begin work on recording new original (possibly lame) tunes for what could be their final original album. Instead, they ended up with some fine renditions of Chicago blues tunes that first inspired them in the early 60s.
Guest guitar work by Eric Clapton only makes it more interesting and fun. Now if we can only get some more vinyl copies into Alleycats before Christmas we can pass them along to you but please be patient as demand so far has much exceeded supply. We will be posting on FB as soon as we get more in. Let us know if you would like us to save you a copy.
In the meantime, we have got copies of the Stones title "Ride Em on Down" on 10 inch vinyl.
As far as blues vinyl we have been lucky to get a bunch of nice vintage blues vinyl in stock as well as scoring copies of new picture discs of Howlin Wolf, Muddy Waters (and Bob Dylan).
See you in the Alley!
